Abstract
patients and 20 controls selected from outpatient clinics of EL -Menoufia university hospital and Shebin EL-kom teaching Hospital from June 2015 to April2016 .
The mean age of patients was 36.627±5.284, they were 8 male and 32 female .
The goal of our study was to investigate the prevalence of H. pylori infection in autoimmune thyroid diseases.
Patients were divided into 3 groups:
group (A) :20 patients with GD
group (B) :20 patients with HT
group (C) : 20 patients as a control
Serological diagnosis of H. pylori infection ,TSH and Anti. TPO. Ab . was done using ELISA method
We found that :(60%) of GD patients and (45%) of HT patients were infected with H. pylori.
Thus there is a strong association between H.pylori infection and AITDs.
