Abstract

Differences in corneal asphericity may affect the binocular visual function by diminishing the binocular contrast sensitivity function. This result may have important implications in refractive surgery given cular differences are induced in corneal asphericity, it could reduce binocular visual performance.
Aspheric multifocal IOL provides patients with better low contrast visual acuity than spherical design.
New aspheric synchrony accommodating IOL provides good visual performance at a range of distances without affecting quality of vision.
Bi-sign aspheric provided significantly more consistent, as well as effective in retinal image quality for the ranges of anterior corneal asphericities. Results of bi-sign aspheric IOL exceeded the higher aspherized one-sign IOL.
