Abstract
This research going to talk about Spanish cinema before and after the democracy in the period of Franco and after his death. Cinema is an essential part of the culture of the people because it serves as the initial gate that crosses them the mind of the individual to know the identity of the society in order to monitor its features.
The first chapter deals Spanish society before and after the democracy, is introduced customs, traditions and ways of life and all that is related to the environment and the community that show aspects of social life and women’s issues, divorce and sex.
Chapter II deals with aspects of political life during the Franco regime, where he was always against the freedoms politics was hit cinema in his reign to state control fully and suffered like all other media.
The third chapter refers to the church and the Catholic church morality strict that prevailed in the country in the public and private sectors alike. Their fundamental role in helping the regime to legitimize the dictatorial regime oppressive.
