Abstract The current study was conducted at Ain Shams University Maternity Hospital from September 2014 to December 2015. After informed written consent was obtained from each participant prior to inclusion criteria in the study. The aim of this study was to determine the effectiveness of three dimension transvaginal ultrasound in diagnosis of stress urinary incontinence in comparison to urodynamic study. The current study included 140 patients divided into two groups, a case group which suffer from SUI diagnosed by history and urodynamic study and a control group which is normal patients which mainly infertile patients, with mean age 53.1±6.5 in case group and 51.9±3.9 in control group, and with mean BMI 28.4±3.6 in case group and 27.2±.3 in control group. Regarding to the results of this study 65 (92.8%) patients in case group and 5 (7.1%) patients in control group have IUS tear by 3DUS, we found that 21 (30%) patients have distal tear, 13(18.5%) patients have proximal tear and 31 (44.2%) patients have proximal and distal tear in 3DUS. With 92.9% specificity, 82.9% sensitivity, 92.1% positive predictive value and 84.4% negative predictive value of 3DUS in diagnosing SUI. And there was mild to moderate agreement between 3DUS and urodynamic study as evidenced by a Cohen Kappa Coefficient of 0.473 (95% CL, 0.297 to 0.648). |
