The problems of the study: A lot of obstacles face the research during preparing the study which can be summarized the shortage of in sources, especially the inscriptions of manuscripts related to the subject of the study. The objectives of the study: The research aims at collecting enough data about the period of the division of the two kingdoms and how the Jews took over Jerusalem and turned it into a religious center for them. It also aims at illustrating the fact that the Jews have lost the Moses true Judaism as nobody wanted to study it anymore. Moreover, they put pagan gods and goddesses inside their temples as they got affected by Canaanite and Greek Paganism afterwards. Division of study: The thesis is divided into three chapters preceded by and introduction and ended with a conclusion as follows: First: The Introduction: History of Jewish Religion till Babylonian Captivity . It includes the subjects which are related to the major topic of the thesis itself. Second: First Chapter: (The Religious Position of the Jews in Canaan Before the Assyrian Migration and the Babylonian Captivity(.This first chapter is sub-divided into two sections: Section 1: (The Canaanite Religion and Its Effect on the Jewish Rituals): It includes the religious struggle or conflict between the tribes of the North and the South. Section 2: (The Northern and Southern Temples): It includes the similarities and differences between The Northern and Southern Temples. Third: Chapter Two: (The Assyrian Migration and Its Effect on The Jewish Religion): It is divided into two sections: Section 1: (The Religious State of The Jews in Samaria Till the Assyrian Migration): It includes the religious state in the Northern Kingdom especially during the reign of King Omri and his son Ahab. Section 2: (The Religious State of The Jews after Assyrian Migration in Samaria and Assyria): It includes the Assyrian destruction of Samaria on the hand of Assyrian king Sargon II in 722 BC. Fourth: Chapter Three: (The Babylonian Captivity and Its Effect on Judaism): It is divided into two sections: Section 1: (The Religious State of The Jews During The Babylonian Captivity): It includes Naboukhaz Nassar’s conquer of the Southern Kingdom. Section 2: (The Religious State of The Jews After The Babylonian Captivity): It includes the Return of The Jews and the reconstruction of the temple which was destroyed by the Greeks afterwards. Research Results: The Jewish religion is always developing. It gets affected by the historical changes that take place everywhere. It used to be a primitive religion pre the captivity era as it included many pagan elements which overlapped with the Canaanite religion afterwards. The Babylonian Captivity was not a real captivity but a source of development of Judaism. Many scholars believe that Judaism started as a real religion in Babylonia.
