Abstract
The objectives of this study were to:
1- Use sophisticated techniques in sheep breeding like:-
A- Restriction fragment length polymorphisms (PCR- RFLP).
B- Single- strand conformation polymorphism 9PCR- SSCP).
C- DNA sequencing,
to detect the diversity between and within breeds.
2- Examine the presence of some gens known to affect sheep fertility and growth, namely, BMPR- IB, GDF9 and BMP- 15 for fertility and IGFBP- 3 and o gh for growth in egyptian sheep breeds, suffolk and some crosses.
