Abstract Severity of the resistant bacterial ulcers referred to the development of many complications, which showed corneal facet with ulcerative thinning and erosion of corneal layers, corneal opacity with white scaring of microbial growth, severe endophthalmitis with inflammations and lysis of internal eye tissues in addition to melting of corneal layers, loosing of collagen lamellae and epithelial layers. A total of 40 Pseudomonas aeruginosa isolates were recovered from 120 clinical corneal complications specimens were obtained from patients attending the clinics of Tanta General Ophthalmology Hospital, Egypt. |
