المستخلص This study sought to answer the following question: To any extent the Public policies that the Jordanian government adopts contributes to the encouragement of the private sector on offering the health services ? The Study has reached that, in spite of the continuous efforts that the Jordanian government takes for the encouragement of private sector in the participation in offering the health services, these efforts did not achieve the results desired from it, and that the activation of the private sector role in this field requires the increase of the investment incentives, providing the technical and the administrative support for the investors, simplifying administrative procedures, the reconsidering some of the legislations related to the health system, in addition to transferring the management and operation responsibilities of a number of the public hospitals to the private sector through contracting out or any other marketization and partnership approaches. |
