Abstract
HASSAN EL SAYED HASSAN ABDUL KADIR, a comparative analysis of the production of cotton in the governorates of Egypt, unpublished master Thesis, Department of Agricultural Economics, Faculty of Agriculture, Ain Shams University, 2016.
The study aims to identify the area planted and the amount obtained by production in the provinces of Egypt Cotton is the most important agricultural export crops in Egypt is the first export crop to the infamous Egyptian cotton in overseas markets outstanding qualities in terms of staple toughness and softness along, and harmonies from here, the researchers make great effort for the advancement of the productivity of this crop through the development of a distinct new varieties in the technological characteristics and have the ability high productivity, and fits every category, including the region where it is grown in addition to their efforts to supply farmers in the most appropriate agricultural transactions each separately for a higher production.
In light of the foregoing, the study focused on the top ten provinces in terms of area under cotton, a (Behera, Kafr El-Sheikh, Dakahlia, Sharkia, Gharbia, Minya, Beni Suef, Menoufia, Assiut, Fayoum), where they form in Total 91% of the total area under cotton area in Egypt .
The study is divided into four doors deals with the first section Reference review of previous studies related to the subject of study, and addresses Part II comparative analysis of the production capacity of the main producing provinces of cotton in Egypt and demonstrates Part III comparative analysis of the terms of production costs at the level of the Republic and the most important producing provinces of cotton in Egypt Take Part IV
