Abstract Corticosteroids appear not only to decrease bone mineral density but also to markedly damage bone quality this is a serious clinical problem. There are drugs that may promote bone cells differentiation and one of these drugs are group called the Statins which are used in treatment of hypercholesterolemia but some researchers founded that it had a noticeable effect on bone formation. The aim of this study was to assess the effect of Prednisolone on the healing of the extraction socket of albino rat’s mandibular first molar and to evaluate the possible prophylactic effect of Simvastatin co-administration. |
