المستخلص The subject of the study is about the relation between changing values of the Libyan family and sustainable development. The most important objectives of the study are: Determining the most important changing values (public and political participation, education, awareness, consumption and work) that achieve sustainable development. Determining the role of social institutions (family, religious institution and media) in establishing values in population of the study. Determining the most important obstacles against activating developmental values system and how to overcome these obstacles. The methodology used in the study was the descriptive one by depending on social survey of the sample. The study utilized a questionnaire form by the interview and observation as tools for information and data collection. Population of the study (analysis unit) was selected from families residing in Horrya District with its four divisions (A – B – C – D) at Tobroq city. The sample selected from families of both males and females. In sample selection, the researcher depended on multi-stage sample which consists of 150 items. The study was applied on them during the period from 15-06-2015 to 15-11-2015 and the study reached a set of results including: There was a statistically significant correlation between uses means of modern technology (space channels – the internet – mobile phones) are the most influential means on the individual’s values. There was a statistically significant correlation to effect of modern means of communication on the life of the family is clear through isolation, restriction of family relations and lack discussion among its members. Finding of the study showed that there was a statistically significant correlation influence of economic openness policy was clear in modern appliances inside Libyan family houses and this was reflected on its culture and values. Findings of the study showed factors that lead to be affected by globalization values represented in weakness of abiding by original Arabic cultural values and imitating Western culture. In addition, the most important values advocated by globalization that affect the values of Libyan society are those values that call for liberalism. There was a statistically significant correlation between results showed that most members of the sample participate in developing their society. |
