Abstract
This study deals with the utilization of a heavy alkylate by-product for the preparation of light aromatic hydrocarbons in the c6 to C10 range. To achieve this
objective, thermolysis of the heavy alkylate feed stock is
carried out in a flow system under atmospheric pressure. A wide range of reaction temperatures and residence times is investigated.
