Abstract

Cancer is one of the most disease-causing deaths in the world, so methods of treatment occupied the first place in scientific research and modern methods of treatment vary between surgical treatment, radiation therapy, biological and chemical treatment. This work was designed to study the Biochemical effect of pyrimidine derivatives as potential antineoplastic agents, the present study was conducted to evaluate the antitumor activity of a newly synthesized pyrimidine derivatives, pyrimethanil and N-acetyl pyrimethanil in Ehrlich ascites carcinoma tumor model. Also we have been test their biological activity against Aspergillus niger which has been reported to cause numerous chronic diseases to humans, animals and plants; and has a pathogenic effect called aspergillosis. from our study we are recommend to use pyrimethanil and N-acetyl pyrimethanil compounds as antitumor agents against Ehrlich ascites carcinoma model of cancer and antifungal agents and examine these compounds on the other tumor cell lines which might have an antioxidant potential.
