A study entitled:
Political participation and its relation with the self- esteem in a sample of blind students .
Introduction:
This study is considered as an important link combing between psychology and politics as it is an important unit in the political psychology ; the topic has rarely been tackled by researchers ; so we find that the study of political participation in its psychological dimension in an important sample of the Egyptian community ; especially the blind students and the Egyptian community as a whole lives a political unprecedented leap- in its daily life in the light of this important change ; which is self- estimate of the blind students; shedding some light thus on this case- that is very important in fields of study and analysis
Importance of the study:
1- Theoreticalfield:The importance of the study lies in the fact that it tries to define the importance of the political participation and its relation with self- esteem in an important sample of community and they are the blind especially in the new political circumstances that have been witnessed in our countries several decades2- The scarcity of studies and researches handled by the political psychology of the blind
3- Call for the importance of paving the way in front of blind students in the political life in our Arab communities
b- Applicatory or practical field:
This study benefits the researchers and specialist and those interested in this field enter in the scientific center or university
Aims of the study:
1- The researcher completed what had begun in the field of political psychology; this presents a new addition to the scientific research to know the problem of the Egyptian community and understand it and try to think of solving these problems
2- The current study aims at knowing the relationship between the political participation and self- esteem of the blind students
The sample of the study:
The sample of the study is composed of students ( female & males) of the blind registered in the secondary study in Nour School for the blind in Souhag for the university year 2014-2015
Hypothesis of the study:
1- There are differences of statistically significance among the average degrees of the male students and the average degrees of the female
A studystudents of the individuals of the sample of the study on the scale of political participation for the sake of the male students
2- There are differences of statistically significance among the average degrees of the male students and the average degrees of the female students of the individuals of the sample of the research on the scale of self- esteem for the sake of the male students
3- There is a relational link between the statistical significance among the average degrees of the individual of the sample of the research of the female students on the scale of political participation and average degrees on the scale of self- esteem.
- 4 - There is a relational link between the statistical significance among the average degrees of the individual of the sample of the research of the male students on the scale of political participation and average degrees on the scale of self- esteem
Tools of the study:
1- The scale of political participation ( prepared by the researcher)
2- Scale of self- esteem( prepared by the researcher)
Statistical significance1- T-test to measure the differences between the average degrees of the individual of the sample and see to the validity of the comparison2- Pearson correlational coefficient : it was used to know the link and its strength ; direction among the different changes through the degrees of the individuals of the sample in the scales of each variable
3- Alpha Cronbach coefficient: it was used to know the stability of the scale prepared by the researcher
4- The partition: the periods of the scale whose stability Is to be known as divided into even and odd divisions- and the coefficient is measured among the degrees of the sample of the individual in the odd and even section and then the stability coeffient is measured in the case of the partition

1- There are no statistically significant differences among the average degrees of the female students and the average degrees of the male students of the individuals of the sample on the scale of the political participation2- There are no statistically significant differences among the average degrees of the ,ale students and the average degrees of the female students in the individuals of the sample on the scale of the scale of self-esteem of the female students
3- There is a positive relational link that is statistically significant between average degrees of the sample of the of the sample of the research of the female students on the political participation scale and their average degrees on the scale of self- esteem4- There is a relational link that is positively significant and the average degree of the individual of the sample of the male students on the scale of the political participation in their average degrees on the scale of self- esteem .
