Abstract
Diarrhea is one of the major causes of morbidity and mortality in under five years children all over the world.\nurses play an important role in pervention and management of diarrhea. to assess mothers, knowledge, attitude and reported practices regarding acute diarrheal diseases in children under vive years of age. the study was conducted at available medical centers of primary health care settings providing care to children suffering from acute diarrheal disease and affiliated to Ismailia Health Section. Sa,ple : the sa,ple includes 205 mothers having children under five years and suffering from acute diarrheal diseases.
Tools of data collection : Two tools were used to collect data; a structured interview questionnaire sheet and likert type-rating scale.
Results : Indicated that more than half (59%) of mothers had un-satisfactiry total level of reported practices regarding acute dirrheal in children under five years of age.
