Abstract

In this study,3750 dairy cattle were tested by single intradermal tuberculin skin test, 69 (1.8 %) animals reacted positively, and then slaughtered. 51 (73.9%) of the slaughtered animals showed visible lesions on post mortem examination while the other 18 (26.1 %) showed non visible lesions. The bacteriological examination of the 69 samples revealed M. bovis from 48 (69.6 %) of processed samples. In serological examination of the 69 positive tuberculin reactors for bovine tuberculosis using ELISA, Only 26 cases (37.7%) were positive using bovine PPD as coating antigens .The results of comparison between using of the recent lateral flow commercially available immunochromatographic assay kits and the conventional L-J medium revealed that were (43.8%) in first kit no. (1) And (Zero %) in second kit no. (2). Also Culture and sensitivity for the isolates were applied by using antituberculous drugs (Rifampicin- Ethambutol-Isoniazid- Streptomycin) and the results of the sensitivity test were (86.4% - 77% - 54.5% - 45.5%) respectively.
