Abstract

Mobile Ad-Hoc networks MANETs are a type of wireless Ad- Hoc network, which is consists of number of nodes connected by wireless links. Each node in a MANETs is free to move independently in any direction, and will freely change its links to other node frequently. Each node has to forward any traffic unrelated to its own use so it supposed to work as router. MANETs have many challenges. The first challenge is in building a MANETs is equipping each node to continuously maintain the information required to properly route traffic. Another challenge in MANETs is its resource constraints the limited bandwidth and limited battery power. This characteristic makes routing in MANETs difficult task. Security is an essential and important aspect for wireless network communications. However, the characteristics of MANETs make the opportunity of security achieving goals very hard such as confidentiality, authentication, integrity, availability, access control, and nonrepudiation.
