Violence has become reaction to all the situations of our current life .
Such reaction implies lack of rational thought. The phenomenon of
terrorism , in particular , has had special area in the interest of Egyptian
newspapers when focused heavily on the terrorist events occurred in
Egypt during the 1990’s .
-The problem of the study and its importance :
What was written? How it was written? What was the impact of the
written material ? Those are the three questions with which the study is
concerned . Local and arab newspapers handled the terrorist events
during the period 1993 to 1997 . There was the top period witnessed
bombing, assassination . tries to kill important officials in the
Government and serious attacks on tourists.
Target of study :
1) Features of terrorism as reflected by Egyptian and arab newspapers.
2) Variations between the three newspapers in reporting the events
according to their trends and ideology .
3) Variations in handling and analysing the violence and terrorism
behind 1993-1997 events.
