المستخلص

The research aims at broadening the current usage of building energy performance simulation tools to start with ideas of how to improve their usage and make them more accessible and integrated with other architectural drafting and modeling design tools throughout the whole building design process and making them a main stream not only limited to confirm finished designs to help to achieve an early decision making , component optimization and whole building systems integration The research an exemplary framework illustrated on a commercial building showing different decisions taken by the main four synthesis of the integrated whole building design process, different analysis ,building energy performance simulation tools and level of modeling details needed in each of the design process phases to improve collaboration and interaction between different members in a multidisciplinary team (Architecture and engineering) through better interoperability between a BIM based model with different building energy performance simulation tools.
