Abstract The aim of this work was to study the effect of bone marrow derived stem cells injection on age changes of submandibular salivary glands through: I- Histological examination: Hematoxylin and eosin (H.x. & E) stains: were used for routine histological evaluation. Masson’s trichrome stain: was used to detect any possible changes in the stromal elements of the submandibular salivary glands. II- Immunohistochemical examination: A) Monoclonal mouse anticytokeratin antibodies were used to detect cytokeratins ( #5, 6 & 18). B) Monoclonal mouse antimyosin antibodies were used to detect myosin. C) Bax for detection of apoptosis. |
