This study suggests a training program for developing the teaching performance of Arabic teachers in primary schools in the light of Quality Assurance Standards. The sample of the study consisted of two groups of primary Arabic teachers : one was experimental and the other was a control group. The former group received training in the suggested program which was based on the Quality Assurance Standards. To measure its effectiveness, the scores of the two groups were analyzed using descriptive and inferential statistics. The main questions of the study were : (1) How can the performance of primary Arabic teachers be developed in the light of Quality assurance Standards. (2) What is the effectiveness of the suggested program? The study was composed of five chapters. The first chapter described the problem, questions, the hypotheses, the purposes and the methodology. The second was concerned with the review of literature and related studies. The third had to do with two sections : (1) Teacher’s training and (2) Quality in teaching. The fourth manipulated the methodology of the study and proposed a list of standards that are essential for teachers in the primary stage. The fifth chapter analyzed the results statistically. The results were analyzed in terms of two hypotheses. It was found out that (1) There was statistically significant difference between the mean scores of the teachers’ post performance of the experimental and control groups (at 0.05) when examining the checklist of the lesson preparation in favor of the experimental group. (2) There was a statistically significant difference between the mean scores in the teaching of the teachers’ post performance of the experimental and control group (1t 0.05) using a checklist in favor of the experimental group. The suggested recommendations for the Higher Central administration for Training of Ministry of Education ; for the National Quality Assurance Organization and for Arabic Supervisors. Future Research : Based on the results of the study, the follow future research was suggested as : 1) Evaluating Arabic teachers’ performance in the light of Quality Assurance Standards. 2) Developing preparation programs for Arabic teachers of Faculties of Education in the light of Quality Assurance Standards. 3) Investigating the influence or effectiveness of training based on the Quality Assurance Standards. 4) Replication of this program on Arabic teachers who teach in preparatory and secondary levels of education and surveying their attitudes toward the suggested.
