Abstract

Sepsis is a potentially deadly medical condition characterized by a whole body inflammatory state (called a systemic inflammatory response syndrome or (SIRS) that is triggered by an infection. Systemic inflammatory response syndrome (SIRS) is subsequent of inflammatory cascade occurs by host defense to either infectious or non-infectious agents for example in those with burns, polytrauma, or the initial state in pancreatitis and chemical pneumonitis. This host immune response to infection causes most of symptoms of sepsis leading to hemodynamic consequences and damage to organs SIRS is characterized by hyperthermia or (hypothermia), tachycardia, tachypnea, abnormal white blood cell count.
