Abstract
Striped catfish (P. hypophthalmus) is considered the most important and promising fish species cultured in vietnam and other asian countries but this species is not known yet in egypt for fish farming. Therefore, this nutritional research on this species is the frist research to be conducted under the egyptian local conditions. To culture this species in egypt it is important to know its nutrient requirements especially protein and fat and to do this two experiments were carried out.
