Abstract the present work deals mainly with the systematic studies of different taxa of the genus lotus in egypt. three subgenera and 4 sections including 21 taxa are proved to occur in egypt of which l. hebecarpus and l. gebelia that were recorded by el hadidy (2003) are not seen. the systematic study is based on the collection of ASTU, CAL and CAIM ; as well as on field studies. A dtailed description for each taxon is given, which is based on distinct morphological characters. |
