Abstract
The resin coated woven fabrics are used as intermediates in the field of printed production by inkjet technology (Canvas). The interest in canvas is increasing day after day. The raw materials of canvas are imported entirely from the international companies, which are considered of high economic cost. On the other hand, the availability of those raw materials is relatively difficult. As a result, it is highly recommended to find a way for producing such textiles quantities locally with a lower economic cost and simultaneously with high efficiency. The production of canvas includes coating the woven fabrics with a resin which increase the functional performance of those types of fabrics. This resin consists of Polyacrylate as a binder, Titanium dioxide as a pigment, Polycyclic as a thickener and Calcium Carbonate as an extender material. The present study proved that Canvas could be produced successfully by inkjet technology in the Egyptian Printing Institutes locally.
