Abstract Epithelial ovarian cancer is the second most common gynecologic malignancy, but the most common cause of death among women with gynecologic cancer, and because of the relapse rate in early stage ranges between 10%–40% while up to more than 50% in the advanced stages, so that the idea of maintenance therapy arose to prolong periods free from the disease and it depends on prolonging the period of induction chemotherapy, prolonged administration of single agent chemotherapy, targeted therapy and immunotherapy. |
