Abstract
Head injury is an important cause of mortality worldwide as head is the most vulnerable part of the body involved in fatal road traffic accidents so head injury due to Road traffic injuries are one of the most common causes of trauma reporting to the emergency departments that need specialty or super-specialty care The present study was a hospital based-cross sectional study of head injury caused by road traffic accidents. The study included all road traffic accident victims with head injury who was admitted at emergency department of kafr Saad Central Hospital over a period of 6 months starting from 3/ 2014 to 8 / 2014 The aim of the present work was to study the epidemiological pattern of head injury among cases of road traffic accidents, in Kafr Saad Central Hospital as during the period of the study.
