Abstract

The aim of the present investigation was to study the effect of
Nicorandil used separately or coupled with Propolis on the gingiva,
periodontal ligament and alveolar bone of the rat through:
 Microscopic examination of the above mentioned structures using
Haematoxylin and Eosin and Masson’s trichrome stains to detect
any possible histopathological findings.
 Immunohistochemical localization of Interleukin 1 beta and
transforming growth factor beta 2 in the aforementioned structures.
