Abstract
Schistosomiasis is a serious tropical disease endemic in many developing countries. It ranks the third after malaria and helminthes in terms of morbidity and mortality. It affects 240 million people worldwide and about 90 % of them are found in Africa. People at risk of infection due to agricultural domestic and recreational activities which expose them to infested water. The highest rates of infections are commonly found among children and young adults.
