Abstract
The objective of consruction proiect stakeholders (Businessmen/ project Managers/...)is the completion of a project that meets the objectives especially time, cost quality. However, the construcion process is often fraught with disputes over the interpretation of construction documents, exising conditions, the legitimacy of variations timely payments, etc. which to threat the construction operations from achiving its objectives. The ain of this teseach is to analyze the sources of dispute and the resolution methodologies for dispute that take place in construction projects, as well asthe factors influencing dispute resolution strategy decision in order to idenify and evaluatethe prevailing dispute handing methodology process in construction industry sector. and recommend possible Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) methods. This study would be of added value for contractors and owners to deal with disputes. To achieve the goal of this study a questionnaire has been used to collect the required data. One hundred and twenty out of 140 questionnaires have beed filled and completed by the informants in publie and private projects in Egypt, and then analyzed.In addition, four actual case studies have been collected from construction projects implemented in Egypt.
