Abstract

carried out to evaluate the effect of moringa oleifera leave extract (aqueous and alcoholic) and probiotic either alone or drinking water for 30 successive. Experimental design: Three hundred (300) one day old unsexed Cubb broiler chicks were used in this investigation and classified into 6 equal groups, each of 50 and distributed as the following design: 1st The control group. 2nd: Received aqueous extract of moringa oleifera leaves for 30 days. 3rd: Received alcoholic extract for 30 days. 4th: Received aqueous extract of moringa oleifera (50 gm./1000 birds). 5th: Received alcoholic extract (50 gm./1000 birds) 30 days. 6th: Received probiotic (50 gm./1000 birds). Probiotic induce significant increase in AST at 1st day post supplementation only. It could be concluded from previous results that administration of moringa oleifera leave extract and probiotic either alone or in combination in drinking water have growth promoting effect on broiler chickens and not have any toxic effect in haematobiochemical.
