Abstract

This work was carried out during the two successive years of 2011 and br 2012 at Plant Protection Department, Faculty of Agriculture, Assiut University. br Mulberry leaves treated with 21 powder treatments with three levels 5, 10, 15 g. br were used for feeding of fourth and fifth instar larvae of local hybrid of br silkworm. br The mulberry silkworm, B. mori L. is essentially monophagous insect and br survives solely on mulberry leaves ( Mours sp.) which play an important role in br the nutrition of the silkworms, and in turn cocoon and silk production. The br quality of the leaves has a profound effect on the superiority of silk produced by br B. mori L. The present investigation aimed to throwing light on the effect of br tested certain powder treatments on fresh weight on the economic parameters of br silkworm of B. mori and effect of treatments on the haemolymph . br The obtained results of these studies could be summarized as follows. br 1. Effect of tested powder treatments during the two successive br rearing 2011 and 2012 seasons . br 1.1- First year 2011: - br 1.11. Effect on the weight (g.) of fourth instar larvae of silkworm:- br Obtained results revealed that a highly mean in weight of fourth instar br during the first rearing, 2011, season were in brane , followed by palm pollen br ended by carrot+ pollen . While in the second rearing it were starch, followed by br palm pollen, brane and wheat flour. The minimum mean in weight of fourth br instar were found in powdered carrot and powdered potato , during the first br rearing, meanwhile it were in powdered pollen and powdered potato in the br second rearing. .
