Abstract

The most global challenges are health, environment and energy. The challenge concerning health is the aim of the current study, through developing of bioceramic materials based CaO/SiO2 system. In recent years, more attentions have been focused on developing novel bioactive based inorganic materials containing CaO-SiO2 component for biomedical applications such as bioactive glasses, CaSiO3 ceramics and A/W glass-ceramics. There are many research works have been done on the bio-ceramic materials based CaO-SiO2 system. But, unfortunately the data presented in these works are not enough to complete understanding the relation between the formed phases and the final properties of the produced materials. On the other hand, it is highly important to understand the microstructure-properties relationship for developing new directives for their further improvement. Besides, all challenges that mentioned above may be tackled by designing a unique, simple, and cost effective production process in order to synthesize a novel bioceramic composition with improved material properties including bioactivity and mechanical. Thereby.
