Abstract
Systematic revision of 18 species belonging to genus Trigonella viz. (T.
anguina, T. arabica, T. balansae, T. caerulea, T. calliceras, T.
coerulescens, T. corniculata, T. cretica, T. foenum-graecum, T.
grandzjlora, T. hamosa, T. maritima, T. monspeliaca, T. procumbans, T.
rechingeri, T. stellata, T. strangulate, and T. suavissima) from herbarium
specimens deposited in Cairo university herbarium (CAI), Menofia
university herbarium (Acronym MNF) have been carried.
The aim of this revision was to bring out morphological, anatomical and
seeds characters using light and scanning electron microscope(SEM) and
use this characters to construct key of diagnostic systematic characters
and arranged it in tables, plates and microscopic photographic pictures.
In addition numerical analysis was carried out to these characters to
evaluate similarities and dissimilarities among the taxa under
investigation.
