Abstract
It is obvious that, digital revolution has widely changed the world and presented digital techniques as an essential part to develop many aspects. In that sense, architects and planners invest greatly these techniques to develop architectural design process via Interactive Architecture (IA) trend, Such IA trend has succeeded in large part because of merging media, technology, and architecture to meet the users needs, On one hand, IA trend is considered an efficient tool, embedded with electronic surfaces that range from Light Emitting Diodes (LED) surfaces or projection displays to interactive materials with visual properties. On the other hand, IA trend sets several parameters and design opportunity es, in order to enable interaction with surrounding users via many implementations that expand from Interior Interactive Spaces (IIS) to Exterior Interactive Spaces ( EIS). Recently, many fields have implemented IAs principles, as Interactive Science Museums (ISM) ISM enable visitors to explore science in a friendly, attractive and comfortable environment through art of design exhibitions spaces using storytelling stragy. Therefore, the main objective of this thesis is to draw out a holistic strategy for design ISM, using IA trend. This strategy can be accomplished by thesis three parts, first highlighting overview of IA trend and interactive techniques used. Second, addressing IAS implementations as IIs, ESM, Third, analysis ISMs trend via four case studies, pointing out ISMs design strategy and present interactive exhibition experiment at port said university in order to enhance the design process of science museum in Egypt.
