Abstract

Neonatal respiratory distress is acommon problem in our country .
There are multiple neonatal risk factors as prematurity ,LBW,twins and male babies.
Maternal risk factors are diabetes, previous siplling with respiratory distress and CS.
CS is acommon risk factor for RD especially elective CS than intrapartum CS or vaginal delivery.
RDS and TTN have the common prevalence of the reported cases and they occur more frequently in cases delivered by elective CS.
Grade IV RD is common in cases delivered by elective CS hence, the need for advanced assisted ventilation increase in these cases
