Abstract
This thesis contains: Preparation of Schiff base derivatives of 4-aminoantipyrine (L1-6). Preparation complexes of Cu(II) and Pd(II) with L1-4, also preparation complexes of Cu(II) with L1-4 and mixed ligand (L). All prepared compounds were characterized by elemental analyses and various physico-chemical techniques. Studing the ESR spectrum of Cu(II) complexes to compare the experimental compounds with the expected and prove them. Studying the antimicrobial activity of schiff base derivatives of 4-aminoantipyrine (L1-4). Determination of dissociation constant, pKH, of 4-aminoantipyrine schiff bases (L5,6) and metal-ligand stability contsant, log K, of their complexes with Cu(II), Co(II), Mn(II) and Ni(II). Studying the thermodynamic parameters of the schiff bases and their complexes (ΔH, ΔS and ΔG). Studying the optical properties of 4-(4-nitrobenzalideneamine)-antipyrine (L4) thin film, also investigated the effect of UV irradiation as well as annealing on it.
