Abstract The present study aimed to: Identify factors leading to increased Cesarean Section rate in AL-Azhar University Hospital. A descriptive design was used. The study was carried out in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology (Cesarean Section operation room) and (Cesarean Section postnatal unit) at AL- Azhar university Hospital randomly in (Darnietta). In the present study included 300 women, as well as physicians and nurses who are working in delivery unit during data collection. The data were collected using two tools. The results of this study revealed that medical indication 43.3%. Previous CS 36.7% . Women requested reported by (10.3 %) of High CS rates financially benefit doctors, hospitals, and industries. Women requests factors responsible for this high rate. It was recommended that women Vaginal birth after cesarean section trial of labor should be conducted in hospitals, with present adequate quality care and proper counseling from the nurse to mid wife. |
