Abstract
The thesis comprises three chapters, the first chapter is a review on the nucleophilic addition and substitution reactions of coordinated ligands and ended with the aim of investigation.
The second chapter is devoted for a detailed discussion of the results obtained throughout the work and comprises the following sections.
The first section is devoted to study the reaction of Ni(II) and Pd(II) complexes of the
substituted [1-phenylethanediylidene-bis(S-methyl- hydrazinecarbodithioate)] with secondary amines. The stoichiometry of the reactions with both diethylamine, dipropylamine have been discussed and the isolated N-diethyl, N-dipropylamine complexes have been characterized by their elemental analysis, ’Hamr spectra, electronic spectra as well as their fragmentation in mass spectrometry (using both field desorption F.D electron impact E.I mass spectra).
In the second section the reaction of [1-phenyle- thanediylidene-bis(S-methylhydrazinecarbodithioate) NŃSS(-2)] Ni(II) complex with hydrazine and phenyl- hydrazine have been discussed. In this section both the stoichiometry and the synthesis of the reaction.
