Abstract
Lewis bases can react with coordinatively unsaturated metal complexes either by direct attack on the central metal ion resulting in the expansion of the metal coordination number or by attack on an electrophilich center in the coordinated ligand tetracoordinated square planar metal complexes 11 the most common ones being nickel.
