Abstract

Flies constitute one of the greatest problems to public health, they are potentially among the most dangerous pests, since they act as vectors for many dangerous diseases, Various endemic diseases, in our country, such as Cholera, Typhoid, Trachoma and Dysenteries, are transmitted by flies, Zoology, there is no any available method, which completely eliminates flies; thus control is a more realistic goal than eradication, The best fly control is achieved when various methods are integrated into an overall program, Modern fly control involves three interrelated approaches, namely, source reduction, use of biological control methods, and control with insecticides, All three method are important for a fly-free environment. Generally, large-scale fly-control programs rely mostly, not only, on conventional insecticides; although many alternative methods have been used in the past and many more are likely to be employed in the future, Planned control programs were organized, aiming at reaching the final goal of elimination of the vectors of diseases, or at least to restrain the disease not to be a major public health problem, It was designed to reach this target through chemical control methods against larvae or adults of the vectors. Musca domestic L. is an important vector of Cholera, Typhoid and Trachoma, in Egypt, ‘he control of this vector by the use of insecticides, in various parts of the world, had been used as a method to combat these diseases, The development of various degrees.
