Abstract

The mathematical formulation of many vibrating physical systems often results in a system of non-linear differential equations. Such systems represent many engineering applications. One of the important subjects expressed here is the dynamical systems, which are governed by different types of non-linear differential equations. Money, time and effort are spent to get rid of vibrations, noise and chaos or to minimize them. Also, resonance of oscillating systems may lead to their damage or destruction. For these reasons it is very important to study the behavior of the vibrating system under different resonance conditions and demonstrate the application of non-linear passive and active vibration absorbers or controller to suppress the system vibrations. This work consists of five chapters, the first is an introduction, in this chapter we introduced a literature work and the scope of our work.
