Abstract
The need of animal protein by human is increasing. It is largely met by terrestrial farm animals. Because of the increase in prices of some protein sources as meat and poultry in many parts of the world, fish is considered an important alternative protein source for most of the world population. Fish has also become an important source of protein in Egypt due to continuous increase in prices of protein sources; especially meat and poultry
Tilapia is currently the most important farmed fish in Egypt Tilapia.
