Abstract In this thesis, models of different fuzzy systems with and without repair are constructed by using reliability block diagram and Marko chain tools. Fuzzy mathematics is combined with classical reliability theory for analyzing these systems and developing new algorithms to obtain the fuzzy availability, reliability, steady state availability, and mean time to failure subject to different types of fuzzy failure and repair rates. Also, we introduce the technique for solving some of fuzzy parametric geometric programming problems which is used to get the optimum reliability with cost constraint or get the minimum cost with a targeted reliability goal for a series system models. Finally, numerical examples are introduced to illustrate the performance of all models if all fuzzy parameters are represented by theclassical fuzzy or vague sets estimated by statistical data. |
