Abstract Ehe present thesis deals with the electrochemical studies and determination the pollutant of some nitro compounds organic acids such as :p-Nitrbenzoic acid, p-Nitrobenzaldehyde and p-Nitroaniline using voltammetric techniques. This work aim to study and determine some pollutant nitro compounds such as :- ρ- nitrobenzoic acid, ρ-nitro benzaldehyde and ρ-nitro aniline. These nitro compounds were determined using cyclic and linear sweep voltammetry. 1-p-Nitrobenzoic acid was an indispensable intermediate in organic synthesis, which was always employed to pharmaceutical, dyestuff and pesticide, and was, as the raw material, used for synthesis of benzocaine, procaine hydrochloride, folic acid and para-aminobenzoylglutamic acid in pharmaceutical industry while it was suitable for azo dyestuff, colour thin film dyestuff. 2- p-Nitrobenzaldehyde is an organic compound consisting of a benzene ring with a formyl substituent. It is the simplest aromatic aldehyde and one of the most industrially useful. It is a colorless liquid has a characteristic pleasant almond-like odor. In fact, benzaldehyde is the primary component of bitter almond oil and can be extracted from a number of other natural sources is prepared from benzaldehyde 3-p-Nitroanilines are important pollutants in water because of their wide use in many industrial processes such as the manufacture of pharmaceuticals, dyes and synthetically colors. Furthermore, they are of great environmental concern because of their high toxicity to living things. Actually, they can be released into the environment either directly as industry waste or indirectly as breakdown products of herbicides and pesticides, due to their solubility in water, anilines can readily permeate through soil and contaminate ground water. They can be taken up by humans via the skin, the respiratory tract and the gastrointestinal tract. |
