This study aims at creating atraining program for children with cerebral palsy as well as for their mothers to improve the harmonic behavior and the skills of independence performance. The mother is listed in the program for two reasons: That the mother obtains teaching skills can help settle the relationship between her and the baby. the involvement of the parent in the program can improve and maintain the new skills acquired by the child. The problem of the study can be formulated in the following main question : What is the effectiveness of the proposed training program for children with cerebral palsy and their mothers to improve the harmonic behavior and the skills of independence performance? Sub- questions: What is the effectiveness of the proposed training program to improve the harmonic behavior and performance skills independence for children with cerebral palsy? •Does the effect of the proposed program extend to improve the harmonic behavior and the skills of independence performance for children with cerebral palsy even long after the program ends? •What benefits mothers of children with cerebral palsy can obtain from the proposed program? Objectives of the study The present study aims at: 1 ( Identifying the effectiveness of the proposed training program for children with cerebral palsy to improve their harmonic behavior.2 (Identifying the effectiveness of the proposed training program for children with cerebral palsy to improve their performance in independence.3) To identify the effectiveness of the proposed training program for mothers of children with cerebral palsy to improve the harmonic behavior and the skills of independence performance for their children. Importance of the study: The importance of the current study includes the following:Take advantage of the proposed program to help mothers cope with the experience of care for a child with cerebral palsy and thus to be able to: Improved the psychological health of the child to the maximum. Improved the child’s harmonic behavior and his skills of independence performance. - Improve the movement of the fingers and coordination between sight and movement.Improve social skills through sessions of the program. children with cerebral palsy represent anegtected energy that has to be well-used or at least lower its dependence on others in society. The possession of parents, especially the mothers those teaching skills can help settle the normal relationship between them and their children. The involvement of parents, especially the mother can improve , expand, and maintain the child’s skills gained from the proposed program. Sample Search: This research was conducted on (20) children with cerebral palsy aged (3-11) years in addition to the mothers and children were split into two groups, one experimental and the other officer, each consisting of 10 children and their mothers, The experimental group underwent the training program with three sessions per week, each of which lasted an hour, the application of the program lasted (13) weeks. Measuring method: children with cerebral palsy have been evaluated before and after the program using measures of independence and harmonic behavior. Results yielded the following: 1- There are statistically significant differences between pre and post measurement and sequential scale harmonic behavior in a sample of the experimental group. 2- There are statistically significant differences between pre and post measurement and to measure sequential performance skills independence in a sample of the experimental group. 3- There are statistically significant differences between other of the children with cerebral palsy (experimental group), and their counterparts (the control group), on a scale harmonic behavior, (after) the application of the training program for the experimental group. 4 - There are statistically significant differences between the averages of the two sets performance skills independence to measure, after the application of the training program for the experimental group. Mansoura University faculty of Education Department of Mental HealthA Training Program For Children With Cerebral Palsy and Their Mothers to Improve the Harmonic Behavior and Skills of Independence Performance By Nagah Ahmed Abdel Hafez Abdel Hafez To get a master’s Degree in Mental Health Supervision Prof. Esaad Abd El-Azim Al-Banna Professor of Mental Health faculty of Education - Mansoura University Prof. Dr. Mohammed Abd El-Sameia Rizk Mohammed Professor of Educational Psychology faculty of Education - Mansoura University Dr. Mohammad Abu Hegazy Mohammad Hegazy Assistant Professor of Neurology Faculty of Medicine - Mansoura University 2014 Call no: Date: Department: Mental Health Degree: masterCentral Library College: faculty of Education Author: Dissertation Abestract This study aims at creating atraining program for children with cerebral palsy as well as for their mothers to improve the harmonic behavior and the skills of independence performance.
