Abstract
With the increasing number of elderly people relative to the population in the world and that resulted as a global phenomenon which requires international action and national and regional and local sync with the global awareness of the health issues related to aging-related in a challenge to look traditional the fact that the aging burden and a problem, and looking at it as a classcertain age have their problems and specificities.
Due to changes in body’s physiological adult, all parts of the body begin to change in structure and function with increasing age, may not be these changes are a problem in adult healthy may be more complicated sometimes because they take more time either to recover from illness or compliletly disability, sa a result it became necessary to ward off the side effects of the drug on the one hand and on the other hand must consider that drug may be little or no impact to these changes
Often referred to the use of multiple drugs (over-pharmacological) and that have taken place; hence, its negatives sometimes they refer to the large number of inappropriate medication and other times referhe multiplicity of a group of multi-appropriate medicines to the patient.It also has a positive impact on the protection of the body from the inevitable risks for some diseases and from the other side, there are statements that refer to a link of multiple excessive pharmacological with the decline in physical activity in daily life and is linked to increased risk of mortality in addition to increasing medical costs in entering the hospitals because of side effects of these drugs, and that its economic consequences in health care
In accordance with the above, we see the urgency to this study to know current situation and what is the perfect rational prescription elderly patients to improve the quality of their lives
In view of the increasing numbers of elderly people and chronic diseases, which call for commitment to several medicines and to influence of the disease and its ramifications on the patient in addition to opposes the work of medicines are unsuitable for use with some of them which have physiological situation this except the economic burden between prescription to need to Hospitilization either for complication of disease or treatment, the current study aimed to find criteria to assess medical prescription for older persons
This study is designed as narrativereview assessment of quality of drug prescribing for elderly patients, We have been examining the studies that have been collected to exclude studies are not relevant current research,the implementation of the investigation to determine any of the relevant studies and were included in the audit methodology we iculded Medical Journals,
