Abstract
The present study deals with evaluating the sedimentological and hydrogeological characteristics of the area that lies on the western Nile Delta, between Rosetta Branch and Wadi Elnatrun. The area is characterized by a evaporation rates. It is also characterized by a very gentle topography, lacking high relief and represents a part of the old alluvial that drainage lines that directed either to the Nile Delta basin or to Wadi Elnatrun and Wadi Elfarigh depressions.
