Abstract

The studied area is located at Dabbet El Qerai in the
eastern part of Abou Zenima area, south-western Sinai. This
area is bounded by longitude 33º 14’ 49.73” to 33º 30’ 04.53”
E and latitudes 29º 03’ 27.26” to 29º 12’ 12.32” N covering
about 36820 hectares (87632 feddan)
The objectives of this study is to derive soil mapping
units by intersecting the relevant geographic data and remotely
sensed data. On this base, the data are produced as digital and
hard print of physiography and soil maps that can be used for
developing the environmental resources in Sinai. The study
also will serve extrapolation approache for other areas based
on the correlated wide variation of terrain data in the study
area
Remote sensing data of the satellites TM8 2013 were
analyzed within the Geographic Information System (GIS).
This analysis aimed to delineate the promising areas for the
agricultural land use from the point view of physiographic
features , soil attributes and land evaluation.
