Abstract The aim of the present study was to assess the effects and outcome of crystalloids compared to a combination of colloid and crystalloid solutions for fluid resuscitation in management of hemorrhagic shock as regards hemodynamic effects and coagulation profile. To achieve this target, 92 patients with hemorrhagic shock were selected to participate in the study. Each Group included 46 patients. Comparison between the hemodynamic parameters between the studied groups throughout the study intervals had shown no significant differences regarding the MBP, heart rate , CVP and UOP despite the fact that significant improvement was noted in each group as the study intervals progresses. On the other hand, it was found that comparison between prothrombin time in the studied groups had shown a significantly marked prolongation of the prothrombin time in the colloid group when compared with the crystalloid group. Comparison between the studied groups rereading the amount of fluids infused, showed significant less amount of fluid infusion in GII when compared with GI. |
